A little late, but of possible future usefulness...

One of my favorites is KAYO Books - http://www.kayobooks.com/

They stock hard boiled books and all sorts of other 'pulp' and 'sleeze'. Good prices. Last time I was there I got some nhardcover editions of some of Westlake's Parker books and nice copy of Ted Lewis' _Jack's Return Home_ (Get Carter).

As of 2001, Don Herron's Dashiell Hammett Walking Tour went right by the store.
