I've read two or three of these, and liked them a lot. A
French fellow I know explained the spiral layout of Paris to
me, the character and background of the arrondissements, and
his experiences in the city, and now I want to go back and
reread them. Location is sometimes unimportant, but in a case
like this, the more you know, the better. My acquaintance had
read some Malet books too, and explained why certain murders
took place in certain places. Fascinating stuff.
