RARA-AVIS: RE: Keitel as Marlowe?

Keitel may have made a decent Archie Goodwin in his younger days, but not Marlowe. There are several actors who wouldn't be bad. Mel Gibson can play tough and funny. Daniel Day Lewis if he's shaved the moustache. Bill Pullman. Travolta. Either of the Wilson brothers might work in a few years. My top choice, if the film were to be made right now, would be Michael Madsen.
