Keitel may have made a decent Archie Goodwin in his younger
days, but not Marlowe. There are several actors who wouldn't
be bad. Mel Gibson can play tough and funny. Daniel Day Lewis
if he's shaved the moustache. Bill Pullman. Travolta. Either
of the Wilson brothers might work in a few years. My top
choice, if the film were to be made right now, would be
Michael Madsen.
