The violence in that book is over the top, no question. What
got me though was the point-of-view shifts in mid-scene. I
remember one scene which had a flashback in it. There was a
POV shift in the real-time part AND in the flashback, all to
different characters.
I did manage to finish BULLET and even picked up his second
effort, BRINGING OUT THE DEAD. I quit after about thirty
pages and said to myself, "Why am I wasting brain matter and
time on this stuff."
