While I haven't read THE LAST DETECTIVE yet, I believe LA REQUIEM is the only one with the multiple viewpoints.

Pick up a copy of THE MONKEY'S RAINCOAT, the first Elvis Cole book. It's a great read with more than a few similiarities to Robert B. Parker's first book, THE GODWULF MANSUCRIPT. Another favorite is VOODOO RIVER, which introduces Lucy Chenier.
