OK...but you've been warned, even if didn't choose to acknowledge the warning. Vachss is a lefty the way Pat Robertson is for opposing the Iraq war. Or the way Tony Blair is about anything.

The Burke books, at least, remain Doc Savage and his gang updated, underworlded, with (often bad or ridiculous) sex and with Mr. Sunshine replaced with a variety of sexually-exploitive thugs.
