Lupin's grandson is the star of a long-running Japanese
manga/comic called Lupin III, by Kato Kazuhiko (a.k.a. Monkey
Punch). Kato's Lupin is a hard-boiled thief and master of
disguise who constantly matches wits with Zenigata, a police
detective. Kato's drawing style (especially his earlier
works) is quite reminiscent of Sergio Aragones. The manga has
a definite noir feel, although it's hardly realistic; these
stories are full of secret weapons and impossible feats. An
American publisher, TokyoPop, has started to translate the
first series into English:
