Can anyone suggest some noir songs to me? (Noir by whatever definition works for you, that is.) There's a hell of a lot of music out there that is doomy, but I don't think I'd call Nirvana noir, for example. Angst and psychic pain thing are there alright, but it doesn't feel noir to me. The singer/musician has to cope with the bad shit in a certain way for it to be noir.

British readers will hopefully forgive me for this, but the one example of a noir song I keep coming back to is "No Regrets" by... [ahem]... Robbie Williams. The feeling is there in the music and the lyrics are totally screwed, and past the point of caring. Listen to it, you'll see what I mean.
