RARA-AVIS: 50s

There are so many great books from the 50s. Jim Thompson's got a bunch, Killer Inside Me, Swell-Looking Babe, Hell of a Womman, Savage Night, After Dark My Sweet, The Getaway. But an obscure but great noirish book I'd like to recommend is Mr. Arkadin by Orson Welles. This is one of my favorites and I think I'll be writing an essay about it in a future Hardluck Stories Zine issue.
