********* I'm in the middle of my first Ross MacDonald novel, THE DARK TUNNEL. It's got a 1944 copyright and it's a bit more cerebral than a lot of the wham- bam-thank-you-mam stuff I've been reading. An English professor by the name of Bob Branch suspects a Nazi plot in the United States.
