Al, Maybe I was wrong with saying Hammer "mellowed". I don't even remember the passage you quoted, I'll have to go back and look. It's been about a year since I read "One Lonely Night", but I do recall Hammer coming full circle with wondering if he really was an animal to realizing he existed to get rid of the bad guys, and I guess I took that as a mellowing of his attitude. It's obvious you're no fan, but that's okay! Check out "The Twisted Thing" and "Survival Zero" if you want to try a later book, but while Hammer may not be so quick to shoot in those two, the levels of sex and violence remain the same, especially in "Survival Zero" where the usual gang of girls take their clothes off in front of Hammer. --Brian
