Joy,
I had exactly the same reaction to a Lydia Chin book and
wondered what all the fuss was about. Later was amused when a
male colleague remarked to me that he imagined Lydia to be
very exotic. I envisioned her, based on her blustering and
bitching, to be a snippy little smartypants.
I'll try the Bill Smith series.
