This statement caused me to remember something. I did know someone who owned a security/detective agency. He told me it would send out operatives into the worst areas of Chicago only in pairs. Supposedly one or even three walking down the street might be considered fair game, but two would have no problems because they were taken for police.

I might get a inside information about this in the future. My son just started working for the Portland Public Defenders' office. He told me if he does well he will be promoted to investigator. That wouldn't be private, but fairly close. Mark
