Not from bad fiction and certainly not from bad Thompson or
bad Hemingway. On the other hand, certain books for the help
and self-help industries can severely damage your brain. An
overdose of pompous, empty verbiage that communicates
trivialities is a known cause of abstractitis and other
incurable diseases.
