Come Morning is a masterpiece, which borrows material from an
earlier masterpiece, Gores's short story _Goodbye, Pops_. The
style here is the purest hardboiled.
Dead Man is a terrific and terrifying book. Don't read the
one complaint that several of us have made here on rara-avis.
It does not invalidate the book.
