My rule of thumb, based on experience with a different hobby
(that of collecting rare recordings) is this: whenever there
is an original, there is a copy, somewhere. And the
corollary: if there is one copy, there are several. Which is
why so many "lost" recordings turn up on CD, mostly in
Japan.
I cannot believe that there isn't a copy of this TMcG novel
floating around. And it's too bad the estate doesn't want to
publish it. I wonder if JDMcD hated it and made a special
provision in his will against its publication.
