thats the only lansdale i've read. as another rare bird remarked to me, "you've got to read more lans- dale." i thought the bantering back and forth between hap and leonard was fun. i don't think lansdale is writing a comedy, but i do think he's writing with a sense of humor.

and, of course, no discussion of _rumble tumble_ is complete without a word for the midget. that poor guy took a hell of a lot of abuse. i'm thinking that lansdale could probably be dragged into politically correct court for all the comic abuse heaped upon this height-challenged individual.
