I have a weakness for HB/noir anthologies, too. When the editing's done by MJ, it's almost a guarantee of quality. The only MJ collections I've been disappointed with focused on more contemporary contributors.

On the other hand, I passed on the Collins & Spillane anthology for the same reason you did: too many of the same old stories. Yawn!
