++++That's one of the good ones by McG. Part of his "cycle" of 4 novels featuring stories with cops as central characters. In this one, Mr. Cop is of the corrupted type, but will finally rally a good cause. A very good read.

++++Any text by Goodis is worth our full attention. And we all know that Goodis is not only Dark Passage! Night Squad is maybe not his top but is still a very good novel by a first class writer.
