hmm... well i can't argue there. i thought it was one of the most spectacular scenes i've ever seen on film. cormac has many scenes violence in _blood meridian_ that makes that look like a picnic in the park. i kid you not. but i never thought that cormac was glorifying or endorsing or appealing to an appetite for destruction. but maybe he is... puts all the ass-kicking in hard- boiled in an interesting perspective.
