Craig Larson asked:
"Are there any other writers who've used hit men as their lead characters, either in series or stand-alone novels?"

Craig, have you checked out "The Killing Spirit: An Anthology of Murder for Hire", edited by Jay Hopler? Stories and chapters from books by the likes of Hemingway (The Killers, of course), Joyce Carol Oates (great story), Graham Greene (chapter featuring Raven), Block, Vachss, Damon Runyon, Highsmith, etc.
