In my current (first) novel-in-progress, a P.I. story set in
Dallas during World War II, there is a Mallory, a Carmody,
and a Dalmas. No Marlowe. That would have been gilding the
lily. Of course, for Rara-Avians, the lily may already be far
too gilded with the first three. I don't expect my mother to
pick up on the references, though.
