Some of the stuff in NIGHTMARE TOWN wasn't so hot, but it's Hammett! His early work may not be great, and won't appeal to a lot of people, but he's a major figure in twentieth-century American literature and deserves to have all his work collected. It's happened to worse writers, and worse things have been collected by writers as good. I suppose if there were demand, it would be printed; perhaps a small press could do it, but maybe the permissions would be hard to get.
