oh yeah. the business end of the deal runs tuesday thru friday, and its in el sugundo, a bit south of marina del ray.

BUT... i'm flying out early on the saturday before. i'll stay in san diego on my own coin saturday and sunday nights and then move up to LA monday around noon to check out the bookstores that you've mentioned and to stroll down venice beach, and then take care of business.

thanks for the heads up, though. and all the great book stores. i've got a BIG list of books i want, thanks to the posts here on the list. i was going to just place a big order to amazon for the ones in print, but now i'm going to hold off and try and buy them out in CA. if anybody is interested, here is a partial list i got going now:

last good kiss, crumley postman always rings twice, james cain they shoot horses, don't they, horace mccoy i married a dead man, cornell woolrich man crazy, oates a garden of sand, thompson shoot the piano player (down there), david goodis zebra-striped hearse, ross macdonald true confessions, dunne play it as it lays, didion the outcast, latour fast one, paul cain death by the riverside, redmann vengence, stuart kaminsky gun monkeys, gischler the noir thriller, lee horsley i the jury, my gun is quick, ***, spillane

thanks, miker
