i'm staying at the marina del rey marriot, so i'm going to
look for the high hill that marlowe exitted off of and parked
with one of the sternwood sisters in _the big sleep_. just a
coincidence, but now i'm reading t. jefferson parker's
_laguna heat_, and i usually like to go down there, too.
beautiful view from the high shoreline cliffs. i saw a sea
lion there once.
