    Amen. I'm sure this thread of discussion will never end (on the rare bird list), and perhaps it should not. Nevertheless, I agree with Jim. The simplicity, the subtlety, and the intuitive nature of these definition/distinctions are the reasons we all recognize examples of HB & noir when we encounter them. They are also the reasons we can't set up all encompassing rules for a priori triaging of every candidate we encounter. Read it, watch it, listen to it and you'll "know" what it is.
