I've read it. It's damned good! Probably the best thing Browne ever did, and that's saying something. In an article I wrote about cop novels set in Chicago, I called PORK CITY the best Chicago-set cop novel ever.

It's based on a true story, the investigation into Chicago TRIBUNE reporter Jake Lingle's murder, and the cop-protagonist, DA's Investigator Pat Roche, was a real person. Browne actually lived in Chicago around the time all this was going one.
