I've just received issue # 5 of Crime Factory magazine,
edited by this list's David Honeybone, & somewhere
between #1 & #5 it's become, IMO, the best non-fiction
mag dealing with HB/noir that money can buy. I recommend it
without hesitation to any list members & no, I don't know
David, never met the man & we live 500 miles apart.
Australian specialist magazines need all the support they can
get, we don't have the population to easily sustain projects
like this.You think maybe I'm touting some dodgy piece of
work? How about this : Pelecanos, Willeford, Thompson, Fred
Brown .... etc, etc - just some of the topics covered. you
should direct all queries to David, I'm sure he'll be happy
answering your questions. I could ask one : why haven't you
told us all what's going on here? Is this a secret? :-)
