I've never been to grad school but I did finished college, and I do indeed have a day job to support me until I sell my first book, but I only work part-time and have two other roommates to make rent cheap. Maybe other would-be scribblers can take this approach to stay in touch with "the world" but at the same time having plenty of time to scribble. --Brian
