Someone mentioned Rucka's use of a sidekick for Kodiak, but
it seems to me that he and Vachss have tried something a
little different (or an update of an older thing. I just
can't remember examples...) of using a team or posse to do
the extra dirty work instead of a single sidekick. I think
Rucka's take on this is especially interesting, reflecting a
cultural shift in twentysomethings in America. It's
"noir Friends" almost.
So, not Baker Street Irregulars, but close somehow.
