Re: RARA-AVIS: San Francisco Bay Area Cop/Writers

Although we looked at San Francisco last month, I wanted to post one update, and one addition to my list.

ROBIN BURCELL (Update):

She's changed jobs. She recently left the Lodi PD to accept a position as a criminal investigator with the Sacramento County DA's Office. Since Sacramento County is not one of the nine Bay Area Counties, she's still not a Bay Area cop, but her next book, a sequel to the Barry-winning EVERY MOVE SHE MAKES, will be out this summer, and it's set in The City.

KIRK MITCHELL (Addition):

Also not a Bay Area cop, having spent his police career as a deputy in the San Ysidro County Sheriff's Office. Most of his cop novels are set in the Southwest (e.g. two book about US Bureau of Land Management Law Enforcement Ranger Dee LaGuirre, and three (so far) books about US Bureau of Indian Affairs Police Investigator Emmett Parker). However, he wrote one WW2 set SFPD novel, WITH SIBERIA COMES A CHILL, featuring a Russian-born Homicide inspector.
