I read _Bank Shot_ quite recently--one of the earlier Dortmunder books. Near the end, the gang is hiding out in the stolen bank/trailer, which they've parked on the site of the former McKay's diner. I'm assuming this is an allusion to Parker's old mate Handy McKay.
