I've only read one Mitch Tobin book (maybe a year ago).
Whatever similarity there is between Parker and Tobin is
masked for me by the essential differences in plot. The Tobin
book seemed a pretty straightforward whodunit--comparing
times, alibis, etc.--even if it was hard-boiled. A little too
much emphasis on the puzzle for me, I think. Doug
