I've seen it and John is right. It's far and away the
toughest movie I've seen in a long time and Denzel is
downright scary. Very muscular direction and spot on casting
down to the very smallest roles (and there's a lot of them).
If you live in L.A., it almost makes you not want to leave
the house. To my knowledge, the film doesn't bear any direct
connection to the Rampart scandal, (although the writer was
inspired by it) but Denzel is a dead lookalike for Rafael
Perez. Really worth seeing.
