Here I'm listening to Artie Shaw's "Final Recordings"
(MusicMasters) and in the list of personnel is one "Joe Puma, guitar" who plays on just one track.

Do you think there is a typical Gault joke in the choice of this fictional name? The Joe Puma cut, "September Song", was recorded in Hollywood in 1954.
