Hi, gang. I was just talking to a lady friend at work who was
reading Grafton's latest, "P is for Peril". I mentioned the
fact that I've known women cops, women doctors, women
paramedics, all of whom are involved in tough professions and
bust through the male-chauvanist sterotypes 100 different
ways. But when I read about women PIs, cops, what have you,
in fiction, something about it doesn't ring true and I tune
out. I'm just curious if anyone else finds this true as well.
Since obviously Grafton and her compatriots are selling well,
somebody's reading, and maybe I'm all alone on this.
