I was actually thinking of interlibrary loan through your
local public library. With online searches that are
statewide, even regional, they can sometimes cast a big net.
Also, don't be reluctant to approach a university or even
community college near you--often they're willing to support
independent scholars. Or get to know someone employed there
who will front for you.
