"Murder of an old-time movie star by Kingley-Smith is so bad I'm not even sure just throwing it is going to do enough damage! This is memorable in my mind as about one of the very worst mysteries I've ever read."

Wow, these reactions are so extreme it makes me curious about the book. It almost makes me want to read it to see just how bad it is. What was so bad? Plot, writing, characters, all of the above?
