I don't remember a whole lot about this book, read about 15 years ago, but I do remember being disappointed there would be no more. As I recall, it featured a small town sheriff, but was pretty dark, would fit on the shelf of small town noir near JJ Riggs, Archer Mayor and KC Constantine.
