My guess is that the Belmont edition of The Machine in Ward
Eleven is shelved with the SF because of the cover blurb from
Science Fiction Quarterly. If you work in a used-book store
and you see a cover blurb like that, you stuck the book with
the SF. That is, you do if you don't know much about books
and writers.
