Actually, if you want to get more specific, the con in The
Sting is an example of The Wire, a variation of The Big
Store.
And while we're talking about books about cons, let's not
forget The Bunco Book by Walter B. Gibson, creator of The
Shadow. It is a catalog of cons (pretty much all short cons),
swindles and schemes, even includes the tricks behind
carnival games. Nice illustrations, too.
