Asked about his popularity in the UK (while having only cult status in the US), rocker Nils Lofgren once said: "Being popular in England is like being popular in New Jersey." Unfortunately, few major US
(multi-national, really) record companies or publishers seem interested in regional success. Nor do they seem willing to put the effort and/or patience into expanding such into national success.
