RARA-AVIS: Re: Blue Murder

I think George P. is referring to the "Film Ink" series recently published in the UK by Prion Books. The series is built around books made into classic noir films, and includes such titles as "Thieves Like Us" by Edward Anderson,
"Build My Gallows High", by Geoffrey Homes (the source of "Out of the Past")
"The Bad Seed", by William March, "The Night of the Hunter" by Davis Grubb,
"Down There (Shoot the Piano Player)" and "Dark Passage" by David Goodis,
"The Asphalt Jungle" by W.R. Burnett and others. All easily available through amazon.co.uk.

(I tried mailing this to the list without success a week or two ago when the topic was fresh and didn't have a chance to re-mail until now. Hope everyone still finds it useful, if a bit stale. Turns out the new AOL 6.0 supports formatted/HTML messages, so my emails were going out in both plain text and formatted versions and getting rejected. The way to deal with this so your messages can through to the list is to: type your message in Arial, highlight the message, rightclick and select normal.)
