Definitely! One of his best novels...

O'Farrel is one of these good authors from the "second level" in the hierarchy of value (and this is not pejorative!)for HB/Noir. Another very good read amongst the fifteen or so novels he produced is his first one: REPEAT PERFORMANCE (1942).
 2 or 3 of his novels were under the pseudonym of: William Grew.

He produced quite a lot of short stories, but I do not remember to have read some- one of which won an Edgar. O'Farrel died in 1962.
