one of the most brillant books by one of the best noir writers of late...but maybe this is because Derek Raymond (alias Robin Cook...no, not The Robin Cook...but Raymond published in Euro under the RC name) was so popular in France (where he lived) and he was a precursor of present frog writers like Daennickx and Dantec who 'navigate' in the same murky and glistening waters...
