In case Frank Denton doesn't get a chance to respond, I'll say that MDM is Mystery and Detective Monthly, published by Cap'n Bob Napier. It's a "letterzine," which means that it consists mainly of letters written by the subscribers. The letters are supposed to be about mystery fiction and the world of mystery in general, but they sometimes range pretty widely.
