Yep, the two "Dog" books alternated first person narrations.
The explanation for it was that the two protagonists had each
penned their separate books, but the manuscripts wound up at
the same conglomerate publisher and to the writers' dismay an
"insensitive and ruthless editor" (me) combined them.
No third novel yet, but there's a new short story collection,
"Lucky Dog"
(Five Star), that features the two characters. Single first
person, though. And not exactly noir. But thanks for asking,
