Re: RARA-AVIS: Australian Mystery

The article in the Australian Author is extensive but does no favours to Australian crime writers. It deliberately sets out to undermine and seems bent on suggesting that Australian crime is no longer read by the Australian public who prefer American and English mystery books. With friends like this who needs... I would recommend Peter Temple, the Jack Irish books: Black Tide, Bad Debts and Dead Point plus the stand alone Shooting Star and Iron Rose. Also John Dale's Dark Angel and The Dogs are Barking.
