Re: RARA-AVIS: Parker does Chandler: Perchance to Dream

Bill,

I preferred POODLE SPRINGS. PERCHANCE TO DREAM contained several italicized "flashbacks" (i.e. inserted Chandler passages from THE BIG SLEEP) and struck me as not much of a book. As in POODLE SPRINGS, Parker's Marlowe seemed a lot like Spenser. Makes a good gift for Parker collectors.
