The name 'Stark' was chosen purposely to describe those boks under that pseudonym. Westlake's Tucker Coe books are still different. He stated a still another series of pretty conventional mystery series that wree neither comic nor hardboiled under the byline of 'Samuel Holt' intending to keep his authorship secret There were four books in the series, but when his publisher leaked he was Samuel Holt, he stopped writing them and supposedly refuses to acknowledge he wrote them...
